Walter Prati
Con
(1996)
for Bass clarinet and Tape

Length: 06:00

For almost six years Arbonelli, indefatigable (!), has been including Con in his recitals, a fortunate piece that has the staying power for remaining extant, thanks to its structure and significance.
The double presence of the clarinet - both live and processed - has different significances. The composer and his creative inward-looking shadow; a frequently difficult contrast with (Con) which to have a serene relationship. The instrumentalist and his sonorous shadow, sounds which are not entirely his but faithfully follow him throughout the narrative of the piece; sounds with (Con) which to dialogue for the purpose of finding the necessary equilibrium for concertizing.
Con is also the mirror of the necessary, traumatic, redeeming solitude in a particular instant of life.
