Composers
- bioFrancesca Verunelli studied composition with Rosario Mirigliano and piano with Stefano Fiuzzi at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence where she earned both diplomas cum laude. She concluded her studies at the Accademia Santa Cecilia, with Azio Corghi.
In November 2007, the Ensemble Freon performed her piece Luminal at the Rome Auditorium. She also participated in the 2007 edition of the Centre Acanthes in Metz with Michael Jarrell, Marco Stroppa, and Yan Maresz; her work En Mouvement (espace double) was subsequently performed by the Orchestre National de la Lorraine, under the direction of Jacques Mercier. In 2008 she was selected to participate in the Ensemble Aleph’s International Forum, where she created RSVP. She went on to attend IRCAM’s cursus in Composition and Computer Music, her work there culminating in the creation of Interno rosso con figure for accordion and electronics, first performed by Anthony Millet.
