Lab workshop (lessons and applications)
This four days full immersion course has been held in Subiaco at the Monastery of Santa Scolastica. Food and accommodation have been provided to the students. The course was for payment, and essentially for composers and researchers, but also for students with computer and music programs skills. Basics in mathematics and informatics were required.
The course was advertised through Call and diffused by means of information.
It was divided in four sections:
· Audio digital signal processing for musical applications (DSP)
· Tutorial on Max-MSP
· Introduction to the most important musical software available on the market
· Four composers lectures and analysis of music works with particular attention to the relationship and potentiality with the technologies employed.
The topics have been followed by computer exercises and have been held in a multimedia room provided with MAC.
The course was directed by Giuseppe Di Giugno with the contribution of other (Luigi Ceccarelli, Michelangelo Lupone, Alessandro Melchiorre, Walter Prati) and the scientific assistance of Carlo Di Giugno.
Lessons were in the morning and in the afternoon; in the evening there were debates and listening. Lessons started on April 27 at 14.30 and end on April 30 with the following schedule:
April 27: 14.30 - 18.30
April 28-29: 9.00 - 12.30 and 14.30 - 18.30
April 30: 9.00 - 12.30
