The IREM (International Rostrum of Electroacoustic Music) will get together in Lisbon from the 17th to the 20th of December 2007. For 4 days numerous radio and national federation's delegates from all around the World will take part in this Rostrum. Over the years the Rostrum has become an exceptional occasion for the international circulation of works and composers dedicated to this musical genre. Miso Music Portugal, as the Portuguese Federation of ICEM (International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music), is the host of this event in straight collaboration with RTP Antena 2. During this event three concerts will take place that present a general view of today's portuguese electroacoustic creation.
The Rostrum was co-founded by the International Music Council (IMC-CIM) and the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (ICEM-CIME), it is organised by ICEM with the contribution of MISAME and is hosted in Lisbon by the Portuguese Radio Television Antena 2 and the Portuguese Federation of the ICEM (Miso Music Portugal) with the financial support of the UNESCO Culture Sector.
