Gabriella Morelli, Giancarlo Simonacci pianos
They termined their studies at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, their native town, and later attended specialisation courses at the Mozarteum in Strasbourg with Carlo Zecchi. Their main feature as a Duo is exploiting, not only the traditional repertoire, but also unpublished and not very well known fragments, which have been presented as première in modern execution. Many contemporary authors have dedicated to them several compositions because of the great attention they pay to contemporary music. Their activity in important institutions, festivals and exhibitions in Italy and abroad is veery intense. They made many recordings for RAI, Discoteca Italiana di Stato, Radio Vaticana. They also recorded for Edipan, Fonotipia, Musicaimmagine and Domanimusica. They actually teach piano at the Conservatorio "L. Refice" in Frosinone.
