Valeriano Taddeo - Biography

He was born in Rome and got a diploma at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia with the guidance of Francesco Strano.
He specialised with Mario Brunello and Misha Maisky and for chamber music with Piero Farulli and the Quartetto Amadeus. After winning the "Vittorio Veneto" Contest in 1992 he was awarded by Riccardo Muti with the famous grant "Filarmonica della Scala". In 1994 he makes his name known in the first edition of the National Prize "F.Gallani" in Lodi, presided over by Luciano Chailly; he is founder member of the Quartetto di Santa Cecilia; he won with it six international prizes: 1st prize at the 5th International Contest for String Quartet in Cremona, 2nd prize (1st one not assigned) at the 46th International Contest "G. B: Viotti" in Vercelli and 1st Prize at the 20th International Contest "V. Bucchi" in Rome.
His intense concert activity allows him to show off for many festivals together with important musicians: Salvatore Accardo, Toby Hoffmann, Paul Katz, Rocco Filippini, Wolfgang Marschner, Franco Petracchi.
