Luisa Prayer is one of the most considered pianists of her country. She is also committed as culture manager and leads her own music Festival "Pietre che cantano" in Ocre (Italy).
Luisa Prayer was born in Rome and studied at the S. Cecilia Conservatory under Sergio Cafaro, graduating in 1982.
As winner of an Austrian State scholarship she came to the Mozarteum in Salzburg in 1984, studying under Gilbert Schuchter to get her Meister-Diplom.
At the same time she attended Riccardo Brengola's chamber music masterclasses both at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and at the National Academy of S. Cecilia, where she took her degree with maximum marks.
Prize winner at numerous competitions, she has been particularly encouraged by eminent musicians like Bruno Canino, Valentin Berlinsky, Paul Badura Skoda, Rudolf Buchbinder. In 1992 Gerhard Oppitz invited her to his master class on the Beethoven Sonatas and Concertos at the Foundation "Wilhelm Kempff" in Positano.
Luisa Prayer has performed in Europe, Asia and North America.
She has been invited to the music Festivals of Kerkrade (Nederlands), Sermoneta and Portogruaro (Italy), and to the "Moon Beach Music Festival" in Okinawa (Japan). She has performed in concert with such artists as Rainer Honeck, Bruno Giuranna, Pavel Vernikov, Shuku Iwasaki. She has made recordings and broadcastings in Italy, Germany, Austria and Taiwan.
In 2000 she founded the music Festival "Pietre che cantano" in Ocre (Italy).
She has a position of Chamber Music Professor at the Conservatory of Salerno (Italy).
