Since 1990 his pieces have been performed in the most important Italian music seasons (Teatro Alla Scala, Santa Cecilia Academy, RAI’s National Symphony Orchestra, Venice Biennial, Verona’s Philarmonic Theater, Turin’s Royal Theater, MITO Music September, Genoa’s Carlo Felice Theater, Mittelfest, Bologna’s Town Theater, Ferrara Music, Aterforum, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Tuscany's Orchestra, Montepulciano’s International Art Workshop, Roman Philarmonic Academy, Palermo’s Massimo Theater, and many more).
His music has been performed abroad, including in France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands (Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw), England, Scotland (Glasgow’s Royal Academy), the USA (Bang on a Can Marathon, Aspen Music Festival, Los Angeles Monday Evening Concerts) and Japan. In 2001 he was commissioned by Luciano Berio a children’s opera for the Santa Cecilia Academy, La Nave a Tre Piani (The three-storey ship), which was staged in the 2005/2006 season and subsequently restaged by Turin’s Royal Theater.
For the theatre he has also composed the ballet Games (Teatro alla Scala, choreographed by Fabrizio Monteverde) and four musical operas. In 1998 he was commissioned to write the score Uber Allen Gipfeln for ten instruments by the European project The sound of the parks, led by Enzo Restagno, Roman Vlad, Gerard Grisey, George Benjamin and Louis Andriessen.
In 2003 his piece Bad Blood for piano and five instruments was selected by RAI to be included in the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers. In 2009 the record Carlo Boccadoro (recorded by Rai Trade) was released.
He is one of the founders of the cultural project Sentieri selvaggi.
