In September 2007 Teatro La Fenice in Venice saw the première of Signor Goldoni, a comic drama in two acts reflecting the imaginary world of the great playwright, born in Venice in 1707. The English libretto by Gianluigi Melega is set to music by composer Luca Mosca.
Arias from the opera Signor Goldoni will be performed by soprano Alda Caiello and baritone Roberto Abbondanza, accompanied on the piano by the composer.
